Welcome to Winchmore Hill Cricket Club, nestled in the charming village of Penn, Buckinghamshire. Our picturesque ground, surrounded by lush trees, is renowned as one of the most beautiful cricket venues in Bucks.
We proudly field two adult teams: our competitive Saturday League side in the Chilterns League Division 1 and a friendly yet formidable Sunday XI. But our passion for cricket extends beyond our adult teams. At Winchmore Hill CC, we nurture young talent from as early as 5 years old starting out with the ECB’s All Stars Cricket programme, continuing to develop skills and sportsmanship right up to our U17 squad.
Our club is more than just cricket. Our clubhouse, featuring a fantastic bar stocked with your favourite alcoholic beverages, serves as a social hub for players and visitors alike. The club is also home to two winter darts teams, adding to the vibrant community spirit that defines Winchmore Hill CC.

Our 1st XI represents the pinnacle of competitive cricket at the club, currently competing in Thames Valley Division 7D. The side blends experienced players with emerging talent, all striving for high performance and success in a competitive league environment. With a strong team ethos and commitment to winning cricket, the 1st XI sets the standard both on and off the field. Training takes place on Wednesday evenings. The 2nd XI competes in Thames Valley Division 9D, providing a vital platform for player development and progression within the club. Combining competitive spirit with a supportive environment, the team offers opportunities for players to hone their skills, gain match experience, and push for selection in the 1st XI while maintaining an enjoyable and inclusive atmosphere. Our Sunday XI offers a more relaxed but equally enjoyable format of cricket, playing friendly matches against clubs with whom we’ve built long-standing relationships over the years. Alongside these fixtures, the team also takes part in a selection of club cup competitions. It’s a perfect blend of social cricket and competitive play, welcoming players of all abilities. Our thriving junior section provides cricket opportunities for U10, U11, U12, U13 (including girls), and U15 age groups. Training takes place on Friday evenings, with matches held during the week from 6pm onwards. We also run the popular All Stars and Dynamos programmes, taking place on Sunday mornings to introduce younger children to the game in a fun and engaging environment.
